7 DAYS BEST OF BOTSWANA, ZIMBABWE AND SOUTH AFRICA

 

Day 1: Elephant sands-Botswana
After breakfast you will drive from Johannesburg. Cross the border to Botswana You will drive further north to Elephant Sands which is a lovely lodge close to Nata, where we stay the night.

Day 2: Victoria Falls
After an early morning light breakfast you will drive further north to the Zimbabwe border post. This drive takes us through the Kasane forest where you will see herds of elephants and often see a variety of antelopes and sometimes lion, hyena and wild dog. From here we drive another hour to the vibrant town of Victoria Falls. In the afternoon you will visit the magnificent Victoria Falls waterfall which is one of the seven natural wonders of the world and 1700 meters wide, making it the largest sheet of falling water in the world. Here you have a great opportunity to see animals coming down to the river for a drink, as well as a reasonable variety of bird life. Animals include elephants, zebra, blue wildebeest, rhino, buffalo and a variety of antelope species. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Victoria Falls

Days 3 and 4: Victoria Falls -Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls and the surrounding areas offer a great variety of things to see and do. You will have plenty of free time to explore the town, meet the locals, visit the African markets with its wide variety of very affordable arts and crafts made from wood, stone and beads, or to relax by the pool at the campsite in the heat of the day. The Victoria Falls region is nicknamed the adventure capital of Africa for a reason. It is well known for the large variety of fantastic activities such as white water rafting, the 111 meters bungi jump off the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia elephant back and horse safaris, flights over the waterfall, canoe safaris, day trips to Hwange national park, fishing safaris, game walks, super fast jet boat trips, abseiling, Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 5: Chobe National Park-Botswana
After a light breakfast you drive back to the Botswana border pass through the Matetsi game reserve where we often see herds of elephants, sable antelope, buffalo and many more animal species. We arrive late morning in Kasane where we will be staying at a campsite on the shores of the Chobe River that is close to the gate of Chobe National Park. Day 1: Chobe National Park
Breakfast and then get a flight from Savute Airstrip to Kasane Airport. Our company representative will meet you and transfer you by road to the lodge in Chobe. Chobe national park is 10,566 square km. It’s a home to about 440 species of birds and 15 different species of animals which live in the mopane woodland, mixed combretum, sandveld, floodplain, grasslands and riverine woodland. Chobe National Park is the second largest national park in Botswana. The park is divided into four distinctly different eco systems: Serondela with its lush plains and dense forests in the Chobe River area in the extreme north-east; the Savuti Marsh in the west; the Linyanti Swamps in the north-west the hot dry hinterland in between. There are various activities that will be done according to your choice. These activities include game cruises, game drives where you will spot animals like buffalo, zebras, lechwe, bushbuck, puku antelope, lions, Hyena, leopard, giraffe, kudu, roan and sable, impala, warthog, monkeys, baboons, jackal and waterbuck, bird watching where you will spot birds like African fish eagles, Sacred ibis, Egyptian Geese, Spur-winged Geese, pel’s Fishing Owl, carmine Bee-eaters, Fish Eagle, Martial Eagle, finfoot and the halfcollared kingfisher, Visiting the hot springs , cultural tours and much more. Day 6: Khama Rhino Sanctuary
You leave Kasane after breakfast, driving south to Palapye. A short drive will take you to Khama Rhino Sanctuary where you stay the night. Khama Rhino Sanctuary is about 4,300 hectares in size, and is centred on Serwe Pan - a large grass-covered depression with several natural water holes. It’s a home to 30 white rhino, 230 bird species and 30 other species of animals. It’s also a home to endangered Black Rhino. You can do game viewing activities where you will spot animals like white rhinoceros, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, eland, springbok, impala, gemsbok, kudu, steenbok, duiker, red hartebeest, leopard, African wild cat, caracal, small spotted genet, black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox, brown hyena black rhino, Blue Wildebeest, Leopard, Brown Hyena, Caracal, Aardvark and Aardwolf and Bird species like Abdim's stork and bearded woodpecker. You can also go for bird watching, and also take nature walks.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 7: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight
